Had a long week and need to drop a line tonight and unwind. Haven't fished Wab much and would love to catch a 10lber (or more). Gonna launch from the town. Seeing as it's a C&R lake, anyone willing to give an AOer some good advice. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I am also on the way out yet to find the elusive large open water pike yet but in the winter just out from town I caught some good sized ones. I am probably gonna fish around moonlight Bay Area. Just talked to my cousin he pulled a 19 pounder out on a 5 of diamonds by the plant on Wednesday.

Try moonlight bay and the power plant, if water temp is still low then slow trolling and slow retrieve good luck

Moonlight bay is DEAD ....... go straight across from the town launch and work the areas east and south of that point. 12-14 fow.

BAM ........ use big cranks that run 10-12 feet down and don't be scared to have them bump the bottom once in a while.

Moonlight bay is a waste of time IMO. Funny thing at wab you can pretty much head straight out of the town launch 300yards maybe and catch them all day. But there are some great spots to explore.

Many places will catch ya big jack. Fished there many times. Powerplant still produces. Moonlight bay you will catch some. But the south side to the east of sundance and by fallis are better. Tracks can produce too. Trolling works well there.

Ive fished moonlight a bazillion times. Too much boat traffic, better to fish there when windy.

Where is moonlight bay:)?

It's the bay north of the train trestle (north east corner of Wab). The Provincial Park takes up the north east half of Moonlight bay.

Good Luck to you

I fished moon light bay tonight bought the new storm rubber pike today and they were hammering them so I never left too far ended up with a long pike but very skinny.

Not sure if I saw you out there or not I tried to reply on the way out but phone had died.

That pike would be 10-12lbs on the other side of the lake where they are fatter. It's so amazing to see the difference from one end of the lake to the other ........

All the pike in moonlight and around the town launch look skinny - they must be starving like supermodels.

I hooked into a few more walleye in moonlight area wonder if they are the cause for skinner fish or greater boat traffic. Although in the winter they seem fat.

As other side of the lake do u mean the seba and fallis side. Or the south side of the lake ?
