So we went to Cross lake provincial park this weekend . I'm no fan of paid campgrounds and now I remember why . sorta like camping down town . Busy place people arguing around the fire til 3 am kids screaming yadda yadda but beyond that it was a good weekend and the fishing was good too.
For a while on Saturday we were nailing em on every cast. Now they were not big pike by any stretch but still lots of fun. Had my Grand daughter out with us and she had fun too till that bad ole pike slapped her on the nose with his tail lol We caught about 30+ on Saturday and had one keeper. I almost threw it back too but wifey wanted a fish dinner so ... Ya I had to clean it . It was good though
We did not fish today as we had to pack up in a hurry this morning . Got a message that my youngest daughter was about to deliver our second Grand child 6 weeks early. All is well on that end too She arrived unscathed weighing in at 5.5 lbs . Mom and baby are doing well .
