Here are some pics from today of a nice average early season bully. They should start getting more and more aggressive from here on in. Actually they were biting quite soft and I missed more than I caught. Still a little groggy from a long winter.

Nice fish. Don't mean to nag, but is it possible to hold them without your fingers under the operculum? I'm sure their gill tissues would appreciate it. Hope you had a great day.

Goldscud, for your information my fingers are no where near his gills, i have my pointer and thumb wrapped around his lip and my other fingers are not underneath the gill plate, no harm at all. As other guys on the board can attest, I have caught and released lots of bull trout and do it without any harm.

Thanks...
