Need to take a rip down to Edmonton at some point to get some gear installed in my work truck..I've been in Lac La Biche since Decemeber and i'm looking for some local advice on some good seafood and or chinese joints in the city.

Thanks ahead of time!

Best meal under 35$ per plate is Ric's Grill (not to be confused with Ricky's...) their surf and turf is awesome!

The New Asian Village (Indian)is good too along with The Bul Go Gi House (Chinese).

Best Chinese restaurant for the money is the Double Greeting Wonton House. The place looks like a dive but the food is excellent. The dishes are huge and you can get out of there for just over $30 for 4. Be aware that it's cash only, they don't take credit cards. The place is usually packed on Friday-Sunday.

It depends on what kind of Chinese food you want, authentic or Western Canadian. By the way Bul Go Gi House is Korean. Urbanspoon and Yelp are really helpful. I like Jumbo for dim sum. Some people like Lingnan for Canadian style, but I find it super cheesy. All Happy is okay for real stuff. There's no good seafood in this city. Fish and Chips, that's it.

All the same to me. Call me a food racist... Could of sworn it was Chinese though! Thanks for letting me know! ;)

Try Hui Won Ton, on the west end of Sherwood Park, just east of the Nissan dealership on Broadmoor. Hot and Sour soup, War Won Ton soups are great, the Ginger Beef is exceptional, not a big place, but clean and really good service. Just 2 miles south of the Flying J on Hwy 16, worth a try on your way home, hopefully not too far out of your way.

Eaten there alot. Find won ton very plain. Ginger Beef is good, kinda unique and spicy. Food quality is good.

Hui's Won Ton in Sherwood Park

This place is awesome, as mentioned the ginger beef is above average.
The dumplings/wontons in the appetizer section( 2 or 3 different kinds) really nice dough, not a thick, tough "fried dumpling, kind of dough, but a real tender dough, never had em in the soup.
Everything we've ordered from them has been good, and if you dine in...they have a "flower tea" (green tea that opens up like a flower as it steeps in front of you)...now that was pretty neat, and you can drink a gallon of it.

And if you saw my physique....you'd take my opinion on food...ha!

Billingsgate fish company on Calgary trail . for good seafood

But the restaurant sucks..... went there for lunch the other day and their fish and chips was so greasy...... they didn't drain it at all...... and ther "special" that day a pasta and mussels dish had like 3 mussels in it...... very disappointing, it used to be so good there.

Lemon Grass on 51st, just west of calgary trail is excellent. They are Viet, and have some great seafood dishes and a really good vermicelli bowl selection.
