How far do you want to drive to get there?

Great canoe trips in Prince Albert NP in North-Central Sask, and there is always the Bowron Lakes Circuit (though 3 days would be tight for it).

From the Forestry Trunk Road at Nordegg to Rocky Mountain House, on the NSR. Stopping at Saunders and Horburg. The first two days are fairly mellow, but the last stretch has a couple of rapids to be wary of.

I guess another thing to consider is your skill level?! If you are a novice then please DO NOT consider the Churchill River System!!

I've always wanted to float the red deer river from Dickson dam
And the ssr from med. hat
Both seem like nice lazy floats not really the most remote
Until you hit day 2 and 3 but would be fun for sure

Yes VERY nice relaxed float during the summer both from Tollman down to Drum and around Dinosaur PP!

Better fishing from Tollman down!

do not take rapids lightly .... I have my level 3 white water canoe course instructors. I have seen canoes wraped around a rock from someone thinking they could go down a level rapids with no experence
