Anyone have or know where a fellow can pick up a spare spool in the 2500 size (at a reasonable price)? Reel Dr wants $75 plus tax. Yes $75 for that little thing. I tried calling Shimano US who was less than helpful and refuses to ship USPS (deal breaker as the shipping/duty will likely be as much as the $50 spool)
Love the reel, but would really like to have a spare spool.....
Any thoughts?

Or, if you are down in Southern Alberta, get it shipped to the border and pick up yourself.

Call Shimano Customer service - 1-866-491-5229
I recently purchased a spare spool for my Sustain for $45 shipped. They were very helpful and they ship via Canpar so no hidden fees. The only issue will be availability they tend to be on backorder.
Good luck.

I spoke to shimano cs today but assumed canpar shipping/duties would be high. So r u saying the price quoted was the actual price to your door?
If that is the case I will call them back and order!

You're welcome.
I won't make any promises on hidden shipping fees, but I've never had to pay any.
