Was at Bistcho Lake for 3 days this week. Fishing was a bit slow to begin with, picking up some pike and the odd walleye, trolling in fairly close to the shorelines, close to the lodge. Headed across to Jackfish point (?) and did very well with the Walleye. There was a chop on the water most days, and we had the best luck drifting in from 10-12 ft to ~5ft. Had luck dragging spoons and jiggs. Biggest walleye was 7lbs; biggest pike was 15.
This was my first time to this lake (others in our group had been there before) -- it was a great time, and I'll definately go again.

Cheers!

I love it up there. Found the fishing a little slower this year as well, but I caught bigger pike when not targeting them and more slot sized walleye. I think the Lake is in a very healthy position despite the slower fishing. There was still Ice to the west of Kirkness Island when I was there. More water in the lake too so the fish are in more places then they were before.
