Awesome Fathers Day weekend

Started off with a fishing outing with a great friend, saw a couple firsts there, then Saturday hit the river for some sturgeon. great day, all sorts of fish all sorts of species, including 5 sturgeon. My new personal best set once again. :sHa_shakeshout: got a lot of the fight on vid, did miss the first awesome jump, full length straight out like a rocket, pretty impressive for a fish of this size!!:sHa_shakeshout::sHa_shakeshout:
long watch but it was an awesome fight, even when it smashed my wrist into the boat at the end.

highlight of the weekend though was watching a 60 inch girl take on a 53 inch fish and win. way to go Becca! then she hooked and fought a 4 footer all on her own. Old Bobloblaw had a grin big enough to hide a buick that day, it was pretty awesome :sHa_shakeshout:

Good times Wayne! Congrats on the new pb, watcha at these days anyway for your pb and when u making your way down to the Hat next? Sturg season is nearing its end in a few weeks, might have to put a fly rod in your hand haha. I caught a nice 56"er the other day, very healthy looking fish, will send u a pic via text.
Anyways, glad u had a good Father's Day weekend. It was my first and I had a blast also, no fishing, just being daddy. Hope all u other dads out there had a great weekend as well.

wow, you really had to work for that one. is your wrist still sore? was it an untagged dino? congrats on your new pb.

not a crticism to you in any way but iv'e watched hundreds of fishing videos and youd think that with todays technology camera companies would have figured out some kind of "wind noise filter" during recording or playback.

Thanks, Wayne. Pretty cool that you would hand off your rod to my kid, knowing that it was a big sturgeon on the line. Sure was fun watching her fight this beast...
