Has anybody driven past Chain lakes in the past day or so, or tried to fish it? I'm thinking of heading down there tomorrow, to catch some trout. I'm hoping the waters not to high or to muddy.

I found this great website on Alberta SRD. It has stats for all the reservoirs and lakes in Alberta, the water level, how much is flowing in and out, etc. it shows a big spike in chain lakes water level, but seems to have dropped.

Here is the website. http://www.environment.alberta.ca/apps/basins/Default.aspx

It was dark brown on Thursday. I doubt it has changed much.

Update:

Went there on Thursday. The water level was about a foot higher than before the flood, but the water was really murky. Couldn't see more than about 3" down. Fishing was terrible and got skunked. Still, it was a beautiful day for a boat ride.
