Lower Chain Lakes (Athabasca) Access Roads

Hey all,

Wanting to go camping at Lower Chain Lakes early July, but I am wondering if anyone has been up there lately; with all the rain we have been getting I am concerned about the access roads and getting my trailer up there.

Any feedback?

The road is a highgrade, gravelled to the campsite. You should not have a problem dragging your trailer in there.

As far as I understand that is no longer a campsite, but a day use area...

Albertaparks.ca still list camping as an activity. A friend of mine was there camping May long week-end. I have heard this before though, I wonder where this rumour keep coming from?
