so i popped down to the nsr for a couple hours on tuesday and the bite was on. i landed 8 wallies and 2 pike but none of any big size. as i was leaving a young regular showed me how it was done. the smallest one he caught was 27" and 5 lbs.

not sure what your implying but we only keep them out long enough for a pic. i would say that 99% of all the the fish that are caught there live on to fight another day. only species that gives me a problem are goldeyes. they seem more fragile then the others. we even brought a baby bath tub (tublet) down to keep them in water while hooks are removed.

Nice job! it is ever so cool we can learn from younger fisher who has not yet been taken over by secrecy and only self interest! Nice job:):):)

My guess is that the picture of the fish on the scale is what's getting that reply. Personally I weigh my fish in a net or cradle. But to each their own.
