Port alberni fishing

Hi ,im headed to PORT ALBERNI in mid aug never been to island before am looking for some charters to take out salmon fishing 3to4 people for 2to3days any contacts would be great ,also would like to try for sturgeon for a day on the FRASER RIVER thanks

I did a guide trip out of there in 1986 but in July had a blast .. just went up to China Creek .. the guide was young and wanted to stay in the channel but we never got a thing so I finally got him to go in close to a log boom and bang we were into a double header Sockeye .. I got one that was 9 1/2 #er

Last cast guiding was a top notch guide that me and my dad used about 2yrs ago. Pat anhern the owner was very knowledgable and got us are limits and had a great time.

I am currently in Ucluelet on vacation - not very far from Port Alberni. Went Salmon fishing on Monday and caught a couple of Chinooks and many pinks and Coho. Tomorrow we are going out on another charter to go Halibut fishing. This place is beautiful and the fishing is top notch. It has been windy and the ocean has been "bumpy". For a less expensive option to a private charter, you can go out with the Canadian Princess crew. - $150 a person for the morning (6:00am - 1:00pm). I talked to a guy that went with them last sunday and all the people on the boat limited out.
