Spent a little time this morning at chickakoo again. Had a few fishermen fly fishing in their float tubes and i resorted to spinner fishing off the dock. I've been having a lot of fun fishing at this lake and i think its because I have always been a bait first kind of fisherman and now i've moved on to lures. Growing up i've fished for trout exclusively and done so on typical powerbait and marshmellow bait fishing. Though it is a rather productive way of fishing the moment I switched to lures my love for fishing has been rekindled. Even for small fish i love how hard Rainbows will hit a spinner/spoon. I've been really surprised at the size of spoons they are willing to hit sometimes as well. So rant over here are some pics.. today i was using Lenthompson Spoons, blue fox spinners, and chironomid hooks under a bobber with a lot of success.

Last summer I caught a 12 incher out of there, it was obviously from the year before so some do live.
