Hey guys, I was just wondering if fishing from the boat launch in the provincial Park is still good. Gonna be stuck around there with no boat so planning on making the most of it. If the boat launch isn't productive anymore, are there any other public places to try?

I was there last week for my stag. The "No Fishing" sign is just off of the dock that they have set up. You can still fish off of the ledge, but the water is quite shallow. I went down the shore a little bit from toe boat launch (East I think). I landed one pike on one of those swim baits and a minnow. It was quite neat, a larger pike followed him in and hung out 6 feet away while I dealt with the one on my line. He weighed in at probably 3-4 lbs. Not all that big, and not much fight.

Make sure you take your license with you, the Fish Cops are out there lots.
