Can anyone advise what is the best setup and bait for walleye fishing in the NSR? I am going to try for some walleye at one of the popular fishing spots within the city limits. Is it better to use jigs or a pickerel rig setup or something similar? And for bait - will frozen minnows or dew worms do?
Many thanks.

thanks for the vote of confidence van. wasn't long ago i was begging for advice about the nsr. the fishing has been great on the nsr this year but the biggest problem is with all the rain we've had the water is still high and cloudy. very difficult to fish the bank and the outfalls are getting more crowded. pic rigs are working but get fouled a lot. been having good success with a white or bright green jig with parker minnow. good luck.

We caught 6 walleyes, 1 sucker and lost 4 walleyes on slip sinker rigs and minnows today.
