Does Dace have a face???

A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of heading out for a day with Daceminnow & his son, Dace Jr.
We made a 3.5 hour drive to the spot where Wayne Christie & Karen were camped for the weekend. Dace & his boy were going to try for their first sturgeon. I figured it would be a good chance to post a pic of Dace's unblurred face for y'all.
Turned out to be a bit of a slow day. We got a few chubbs, walleye, mooneye, goldeye & suckers, plus a few sturgeon.

I guess this guy thought I was using 'Spiderwire'???

Daceminnow finally hooked into his very first sturgeon later in the day. I thought, "Ha-ha!!! I'll get a pic & post Dace's face on AO!!!"

I just got back from a week of vacation with the family. We spent our time visiting family in Coldstream, B.C. This is their backyard, with Lake Kalamalka in the background...

Since it was "family time", I didn't even think about fishing. Well, maybe just a little when we drove by Vaseux Lake & I imagined the bass hanging out under the lily pads...:)

I have a 3-day weekend coming up; there may be some fishing in the forecast.

Maybe I'll get a nice brown like this one; I got it on the Bow in November.

A while back, a friend introduced me to the art work of a fellow from Minnesota; Josh DeSmit. I liked his work & asked him to do a piece for me. I sent him a bunch of pics & asked him to paint a piece from whichever photo inspired him. He chose the brown trout above, and this is what he came up with...

I love it! The photo doesn't do it justice; it looks way better in person. I think the graffiti-style painting is fitting, since this is where I landed this fish...

god, I was looking at the first pic of the boy and was thinking disappointedly that the boy has an uncanny resemblance to...hey! that's a photoshop.
