I found a spinning reel in with my grandpa stuff. It is a Abu Garcia model ma3r. Google isn't helping and looks new so I'm wondering how old it is andwhat it cost

The only things it says is everlast and max action plus a coat of arms of some sort. It has a rear drag and a lever to assist with casting. Hope that helps

I love spinning reels like that! It seems you can't find a rear drag anymore...or the trigger for opening the bail. The reel companies all seem to make a spool drag model and the triggers have disappeared.

Too bad.

If you are looking to part with this reel let me know. I have no idea what it is worth....but please take no offense: it looks like an entry-level model to me.
