New to bowhunting and this Forum. Been reading lots on here and there seems to be alot of knowledgable guys on here. I just bought my bow 1 1/2 months ago and been shooting almost every night. I bought a 60-70 lb Matthews Drenalin, 29 inch draw. The arrows they sold me are ST Epics 340. I've read that they'll be to light with my bow set at 60 lbs. Is that true? And how much will that effect accuracy? What is the best target to buy for Broadheads? I have slick tricks. Thanks for any help.

Those arrows are 9.5 gpi. They are not light arrows by any carbon arrow standard. The chart below will tell you that you can shoot .400 spine arrows (if your arrows are not over 31").........this chart relates to determining proper arrow spine rather than arrow weight. Minimum weight for most bow manufactureers is 5 grs per #..............= 300 grs total arrow weight for your bow @ 60#. Finished weight of your arrows will probably come in close to 400 grs (with 100 grs points). 340's are on the stiff side of the spine equation.....so shooting heavier tips may get better results (125 grs). Are your arrows too light? No.

Sizes: 340, 9.5 gpi; 400, 8.6 gpi., 500, 7.3 gpi.

Definately not to light, crank your bow up to 70#'s, and it should fling those arrows just fine, and you'll be good for any size game out there.

Careful about just cranking up the poundage on your bow. You could end up with a shoulder or other injury. Just shoot whatever poundage is comfortable, and that you are able to draw and hold.
