Half a day on the water and we have landed 7 fish, the biggest was 15 lbs. for a second year in a row my son screw up a new reel, this time my Islander. This time I could fix it on the boat. Son is sun burnt but there are no bugs out here. Quit taking Matt fish Dave and get back to work.

5 two days ago but only 2 keepers, yesterday was slow most of the day nobody we seen landed many. We throw 5 back.

Just came back from a trip to Tahsis....caught limits on chinook, coho, and hali's. Came through Campbell River yesterday was a beauty day for weather and fishing Landed many coho trolling a fly on the fly rod in the open ocean....was such a blast!

The week before last I was in Campbell River and Gold River. I caught some great pink salmon in the river and a Tope Shark at the resort I stayed at.

Hey lefty , who did you fish with in Tahsis ? Headed back there next week for a second trip this summer. The first one was good for salmon but crazy rough for halibut, couldn't get a anchor to hold in the swells and chop. Crazy excited about my return trip ! should be great ..........:sHa_shakeshout:

Haven't seen this many Coho around Campbell for along long time, however its very sad to see all the dead wild coho floating around over at the Hump and Century, these fish are hammering everything presented to them resulting in lots of dead wild coho out there, guys are catching 4 or 5 wild before catching a hatchery they can keep, I think mortality would be alot less if some wild fish were allowed to be kept.

Looks like Campbell might be getting a fishery back lets hope its managed properly this time.

We went with Rodgers Lodge weather was decent could get out to the open water each day we were there .....a couple mornings were foggy but we saw the sun each day.

Limited out on springs and coho and between my Dad and I brought home over 140lbs of PROCESSED fish :)

Should be good!

I keep hearing the same thing every year that wild Coho end up dead after release. Sounds like they bleed a lot. What a waste. It seems it would be better to keep the first 4 caught to limit the impact on the population.

See alot of guys netting them and bringing them onboard to identify, it would be nice if they could identify and release the fish without bringing them onto the boat, that would help

All of ours came to side of boat and check for adipose.....if not a keeper released without entering the boat or a net.
