View Full Version : Last day of P-doggin. Warning, GRAPHIC
Went out Wed for one last day of P-doggin with my son and daughter. Hit three fields that were rich with targets earlier in the year. Pickings were very slim as most have now gone down for the winter. We did manage to fire off 31 rds with the 204's. My daughter took a couple of vids and not sure if you can view them (have never posted video before).

They are down the hole already. I figured I could get a shoot in before the 15th of Sept.

Hit a field yesterday with my dad and a buddy got about 25 in a hour with our bows, had several more elude us. Capped off the day with a 72 yard shot.
Never really shot gophers before and well I understand they were not as present as other days I don't know about them being down the holes for winter when it's 29 outside they shouldn't be thinking about winter.

Adult males head down to hibernate at the end of July, females a couple of weeks later, and the juveniles are the last ones to go down, right until freeze up.
