Ok so it has been a few years since I have had to broad head tune a bow.

But after sighting in my bow with field tips out to 60 yards I have begun shooting broad heads.

My current set up is a 70lb Athens Ibex at 29" draw. I am shooting a 28.5" Easton Axis FMJ 340 and 100 grain G5 Strikers.

So here is my question, my broad heads are hitting 3 inches left of my field points at 20 yards. Upon referring to the Easton broad head tuning guide it shows that for a right handed archer and broad heads hitting left means my arrow shaft is too stiff but according to the arrow shaft selector I am shooting the right arrows as per my set-up.

One solution maybe to switch to 125 grain broad heads.
Would there be no point in trying to move my rest to the right slightly before I try the switch?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike

Have you tried Walk Back Tuning (http://www.redhawk-archery.com/walkback.php) it to see if the deviation varies at different distances?

I had a problem with my broadheads hitting right. I moved my rest to fix the problem. Small increments made a big difference.

definitely not to stiff. Gonna need to do some tweaking on your rest to get them to the same POI.

Try moving your rest a C-hair right and see if there is any improvement

That's a really good thread ....Kind of what I had in my mind but it shows all the steps and how things changed for him!!

The nice part about tuning is if it gets better with a small adjustment of the rest or noc you know you are going in the right direction. If it gets worse ....it's simple, go the other way!!!:sHa_shakeshout:
making adjustments is the reason why they put screws in the rests, and slots to let things move in a controlled direction. If you don't like what happens you can simply move things back where they were.
