Hey guys. Been looking into sheep hunting, would like to try it in a few years, but have been studying out different gear. Really enjoying the gear lists you guys are putting up! Just wondering though: what scope do you have on your sheep gun? Name brand/power? Did you go with something with lots of zoom, or one that has less power but weighs less also?

Just want to pick you brains on this one. Thanks!

I use a Leopold 3-9x33 ultralite.I usually have it set on 4 power but can crank it up if need or want to.Listed weight of 8.8 oz,it is lighter then most fixed power scopes.

Nightforce G7 5.5x22. Heavy ppl might say its over kill for sheep but I'm happy to not stock that extra 300yatds to make the shot.

Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14 x 44 with the rapid Z 800 is what I use on my 300 WSM for mountain hunts. It weighs a bit more than a 3-9 x 40 but I feel the extra magnification and parallax adjustable may be beneficial at some point sheep hunting.
