Heres a few questions ...

Can you buy a new Aluminum 12 or 14 foot boat and trailer .for $1000.00

I dont know but not likely ...

How big a motor are you going to put on it , how many people in it

and where are you boating ...

That looks like a pretty old boat , lots of home reno done ,

anytime you cut the wood seats , you compromise the strenght

If its a sea nymph , naden , sears , its done ...

and pretty shallow...

The boat has been register at one time so I'm guessing 14 ft.

Take er Jesse won't find a better deal than that. Looked as if the owner took good care of his stuff and its in a garage to boot.

I haven't shopped for or bought one recently but I would guess a new 12-14ft alumnium would run you $2,000 and up just for the boat nevermind a trailer, seats, etc.

$1,000 with a trailer...good deal in my books. I'll see your $1,100 and give him $1,200.

I would say it's a good deal, heres a rough guestimate to what i paid about 4 yrs ago
trailer 900
14 ft boat 2300 +/ -
similar seats were around 100 each

Throw a 9.9 on it and have a many yrs of fishing and duckhunting

Nice looking boat for that price. It looks like someone took good care of it.

I have a nice 15hp 4 stroke Honda that sure would look good attached to that boat.

A few years back I paid $1600.00 for a 12 foot with a 9.9 with no trailer the boat was from the 60's the moter from the 80's. It was in rough shape but came with a fuel tank and life jackets. I have since coated the inside and painted the outside, stained and varnished the seats and installed swival chairs. I would ask $2000.00 if selling now. You are starting with what looks like a decent boat. What would an old 9.9 be worth? Probably get a decent one for $1000.00. That would set you up with a newer boat and motor than what I have for the same price.

Food for thought anyway.
