You should go look at the assasin at Jimbows think you'll be happier with that and they will set it up properly and get you off on the right track

Only negative I have found on the Diamond bows is that the draw stop is a small peg on the bottom cam that contacts the string - This makes the back wall a little spongey. As ASAT1 stated... the assassin seems to be a better bow for the money.

My first bow was a kronik. I actually liked it lot, very light and surprisingly accurate bow. It was pretty slow though, 250 ish with 27" draw at 65 lbs, had quite a bit of vibration as well. The lower limb twisted so i ditched it.

Another vote for Jimbows and the assassin. Mine is set at 65lb pull and shoots aluminums at 280 fps and Carbon at 300 according to my Chrony.

Found a decent deal on a Kronik and wondered if there any known issues ....

If you can. Try as many releases as you can out so that you can get a good feel for them. Average price for decent ones will run you around $100

My son shoots a kronik from bass pro and loves it. He's had it for about 2yrs now and it shoots very nice, just make sure to have it tuned and set up properly.
