Hey willy, look in the Barry Mitchell's Alberta Sportfishing Guide, it is right near Caroline...just look in the guide for directions. Kyle caught some pig brookies in there, really colourfull! He sais its a nice quite lake.

I sence some friction here.....

But Willy, the new Barry mitchells is out if your interested. Some very nice pictures and as always, informative articles. What other areas are you potentially interested in catching some brookies? If you ever fish towards WMU 400 theres some great little spots down there. You can let me know if your interested, i'm not the brookie master but have come accross a few good spots. Have a good one.

i live near and have fished yellow head for years. They originally used it as a stock pond but the fish just flourished. I always figured it was rather shallow until i took my boat n depth finder there this past summer. Their are several spots that are over 35 feet deep. So no winter kill there. They are the most colorful brookies ive seen and ive caught them up to 4 lbs and seen several that were larger pushing the 20 inch mark. I was their last week and it is so murky you cant see the bottom in 5 ft. of water.

Access should be pretty easy, we only ever had trouble when the ground was soft. Always do pretty good. Lotsa brookies in the 12" range with a few bigger ones. Let us know how ya did. Kyle is right though yellowhead is no secret.
