Thur work I was offered a trip to go out to Harrison BC to go salmon fishing. I never asked too much and tried not to kiss the guy and said yes instantly. Just wondering what I can expect, from what I can see it is mostly river fishing and doesn't look like open water fishing around there. Wouldn't matter if it were in a mud puddle if it had salmon in it though.

Thanks Phil

HA!!!!!
BC aint filled with mud puddles like AB.
Salmon and trout fishin is great.
And yes....there is open waters....it's called the Pacific Ocean.
Depends when you go....but the Coho are running now, followed by steelies.
You'll have a great time if your with the right people

That's forsure! Yeah if you can get a guide and go sturgeon fishing you will be sure to catch multiple fish I'm sure of amazing sizes, like 6-10' because the massive pink run on its way through there the sturgeon will again become active and start the feeding frenzy producing a near perfect opportunity for you:sHa_shakeshout: can't wait to hear how you make out.:sign0111:

best time for coho in the Harrison River is mid Oct to early November. Chum salmon will be all over the place as well.....this means there will be hundreds of bald eagles in the trees and on the beaches. ...pinks should be entering the system now. followed by chinook and sockeye. in Mid-October drifting over the Harrison rapids, you will see dark chinook on their redds. Should be the odd cuttie around, but no steelhead. There are sturgeon in the Harrison River, but areas on the Fraser will be more productive for them.
