pigeon or gull or sylvan????

hey all.
been trying to get into the whitefish march madness...
plan to go SOMEWHERE on sunday.
anyone know if the whities are ON at any of these lakes??? have they finally moved shallow or are they still deep, deep???
what's going to be my best bet???

WAs on Sylvan today. Morning was awful. After 5 it got better. Didn't have much luck in shallows, but 25 feet was the best it has been for me in awhile. Kept 3 whitefish and missed 3 or 4. One hit on my pike setup but he got away with a part minnow. Much better than 2 weeks ago. BL

Sylvan has been pretty good for whites. You need to go deep for sure. Try 40 feet. We fished out there a week ago and were seeing all kinds of them with the camera. We were perch fishing but seen way more whites than perch.

Fishing this AM was the best I have seen it in a couple of years. Everyone within a 100 yards of me were busy pulling them out. If you didn't get your limit by noon you were doing something wrong. Good luck. 25 feet of water. BL

Hey BL, are you just heading out off of RR23, and is it ok to drive out on the ice a ways? We are heading to Sylvan tommorrow and I would like to try and find some whites in the AM.

Thats where I have been the last week or so. Ice is good. Just got back and the fishing was good for about 1/2 hour, slow after 8:30. Nothing like yesterday AM. Will go back about 4:00 tonight. Got one and lost 2 this morning. How did you do? BL
