Just curious what you basement shooters are using for back up behind your targets in case your arrows go through your target? I have a Mackenzie Tuff Stop 200 but I have had one arrow into the drywall and now another into what I was using for protection to stop that from happening. It seems about every 75 arrows one goes through the target and sticks out about 6-8". I have only put through about 300 aroows into the target so far and need to minimize the damage before the wife see's it. Would just a plain peice of 3/4" plywood do the trick?

Before the wife see's it. So funny & true. Somehow we are the kids and the wifes are the parents. Or so it seems some days, most days.
I think the plywood would work great.

If one width does not 2 for sure would stop it.
I am shooting my bulldog target in my basement and have not had one pass through and I have put 1000+ arrows into it

I use a piece of 1/2" spruce plywood,the arrows can go through it if they penetrate the bag but never more than an inch in my experiance.

I use one of those Spiderweb targets. Fairly expensive , but heavy , free-standing ( I put it on the counter in my garage ) and the arrows only go in...maybe 6''s. And pull out really easy.
I use to use a cheap bag target and suspend it inside a wood frame using bungee cords. That worked good also as the target would move with the arrow on contact and that seemed to keep the arrows from going through.

X 3 been there done that more then twice . I shoot corner to corner and put 3 cardboard boxes inside of each other . Its better and cheeper then plywood and less ovious , from the mother :innocent::innocent::innocent:. And I actually have a old bed mattris as a backstop and shoot that thing probably twice a week 30 to 50 shots a time . So its been used and abused alot . I need to get me one of them big block targets or better yet one of them 3D targets that cabela's has .
Safe shooting basement guys :lol::lol:
