Mink Lake

Just wondering has any one ever fished Mink Lake or know any thing about it?

I have fished Mink Lake, it is located due North of Utikuma. It used to be an excellent perch lake until the netters got to it. Talked to a guy who fished it this winter and said it was a bust.

there is a mink lake near edmonton.

Anyone ever fish it, in the winter...can you get on it?

Hey Ryan, if your goingto head out that way you might as well head up the road to Jackfish Lake instead, the fish are tough to find in Mink because of lack of population, I guess years ago it use to be super they have a few monsters hangin on the wall in the store that come out of there... but now they are far and few between. Hate to see a guy head there and end up really disappointed.. Jackfish is only 5-6 miles south of there and the fishing was usually not bad.

I tried jackfish first of the season, not much luck...but it was only one day.

Might get back that way this weekend.

Hey Huntercam, I talked to him today and he didn't make it as he was heading back home to Slave for his 1 week off, he said he was there last year and all they caught was jacks. If he does go in the next couple of weeks I will let you know what the results are. Ya he is staying at one of the camps not sure which one.

He must be in Noralta Lodge boy have then opened up a lot of area back there will be a very good area for hunting once the patch slows up a bit in the area..
