i hope this is the right place to post this. i normally use the regular fillet knifes and a few years ago i bought one of those berkley electric fillet knifes and works great. i recently bought some replacement blades for it. even though the blades are serrated can you sharpen them with like a sharpening stone or is there some other way?

I don't beliive there is a sharpening method for serrated blades, I could be wrong. Better just buying the replacement blades like you did.

Can use a round file on them to take burrs off and such.

Cabela's (and others I imagine) sell knife sharpeners that say they will do serrated blades.

eg http://www.cabelas.com/product/Chefs-Choice-M710-Marine-Electric-Knife-Sharpener/1646814.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3D searchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProduc ts%26Ntt%3Dserrated%2Bknife%2Bsharpener%26WTz_l%3D Header%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=serrated+knife+sharpener&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products
