Hi there, with the cold weather quickly approaching, it is not long before we have to store the boats for winter. Just wondering how everybody else store their boats for winter. I have two vehicles, and really like to put the vehicles in the garage in winter, doesn't wanna kids suffer in the cold morning (I park one vehicle out and put the boat in garage in summer).

I just winterize the motor and cover it with a tarp. Leave it out all winter with no damage. Just make sure the squirrels don't get into it if you have carpeting and decks.

I just pull my 3 batteries and put them in the house. Make sure everything is drained, motor down, I wrap the lower leg with a large plastic bag. Tarp it up and that's it.

Swapped my 12' alum out for a 12' mariner inflatable so she gets washed, folded and put in the basement

I have to start the hunt for a over the winter rental to store my boat. I want to keep it out of the elements ......... expensive ......... but worth the piece of mind.

If anyone has leads on some decent covered space for my Lund ....... PM me ...... i would appreciate it.

I tarped and stored mine outside for about 10 winters with no problems whatsoever. It's fiberglass, the cold won't hurt it. :)

0 dollars, we have a crating company come in to work to wrap our 16 cyl wak engines, and recip compressors, so I usually hit them up for some tape and wrap..
Been doing this for 3 yrs now... Works like a hot damn.

Iv heard bps does it for bout 300 bucks....( but its so easy to do, all ya need is the wrap tape and tiger torch.)

I would even imagine you could go to any crating place and buy some..

I don't think a tiger torch would be there right tool for the job. Little too hot and hard to control. I just had my boat done and they use some kind of a propane gun that fires with a trigger mech. and a 20lb propane bottle. Seen it once no Prob to DIY now.

Na tiger torch works ya just have to really watch, and if ya get a hole that's what the shrink tape is for, I think those guns they use run about 600 bucks
