October Fishing

Hit the river with WC on Sat. Fished one of the popular sturgeon holes.It was a slow day with only 2 sturg. ,a few walleye and a few sauger. Sunday the slip bobber was working well. Lots of fish, not much for size. Would like to thank Wayne for the great minnows. Nothing like fresh bait.

was kind of hoping we'd get into a few more sturgeon down there, but at least we got a couple. I had great luck all weekend with those fresh minnows, got some nice hogs, even a sucker on one of them. thats a nice perch, be nice to get a limit of those for Sunday dinner!

very good haul, question: i have never ever seen a perch come out of that area of the river is that fairly common?

That was on one of our local lakes.

figured out why they werent biting down the river, most likely had somethng to do with all the artilery shells and bombs going off. Sunday I was sitting in my chair at the forks and they let one go that was so big it shook my chair way up there. still going on the rest of the month I guess that spot will be a rightoff pretty much til they are done blowing S%^t up :angry3:
