So bgsh and i decided to hit the river for a couple hours after work. Started at one spot where shawn proceeded to catch quite a few eyes all around me while i got nothing... So i was annoyed;) heres his fish.. At the next spot i got my revenge! Wait for it..

Then at the next spot i caught a small pike and had just about given up hope when i got a bitee, i set the hook and knew it was solid but not this solid. 31inchs and 10.2 pounds my new pb!!! Big thanks to shawn for gettin in there and landing this big girl hes one heck of a partner thats for sure! So here she is!

There's something about big 'eyes around halloween on the NSR.

I have seen a couple of good 'uns caught on different hallowed nights thru the years. Watched a guy pull in a 14.5 lb. walleye on halloween night by Dawson bridge 2 years ago. My best was 12 lbs.
Slow presentation is key. I like to use just a plain leadhead with no rubbertail on it and a minnow thru the eyes. Not too big of a leadhead so the minnow moves a little more natural.
Odds are that big fish had a mate roughly the same size close by. Sometimes the other fish follow in their hooked mate.

Do it again.
