Took my two neighbors out on the Athabasca on Sat. Aug 19. near the Klondike Ferry. One lucky guy, Brian Coleman caught this 11 lb 7 oz walleye on a pink jig

That's awesome, congrats! :)

Just a question, I have seen the fins of pike turn pink after a good fight, is that the situation with your walleye? I notice it has pinkish on the tail.

That's awesome, Brian wasn't able to make it to hunting camp near grande prairie that weekend, hunting gods weren't smiling on him but at least the fishing gods were!

Beautiful fish! Why do they have to close this river on October 31? I have talked to F&W and they say safety reasons.... yet the NSR stays open all year.....hmm. I want to fish this until it freezes!
