How does the first reel deal with ice dingle-berries?

I have three setups,, one like your second set-up, then another home made jobby that self jigs (though will be modifying the drag system) and my third is an old bait- caster on a crucifix like rod for pike. Pics will come later.

Haven't had it in use yet so not sure but I fish in a heated shack most often so should be ok.

Says it'll drop a 1/64 oz jig like a boat anchor...lol. I don't think I'll find out mostly jigging spoons and darters for me. Love baitcasters for fighting the big girls in open water so this should be the same through the ice.
