Have you guys noticed that the pike are very lean yet muscular? Not snakey lean?

I just went thru the guts, and - besides my bait - their guts are full of backswimmers. This isn't the first time I've noticed this.

No wonder they bite so light yet fight like lightening. It may account for their sweeter taste too.

Used to fish it alot- My acreage was outside of High River and I was spending lots of time at Little Bow Colony.
Can't say I ever noticed anything strange about the pike but have not fished it in about 3 years

Not from Twin. 44" x 23 1/2"

Would have let her swim free had she not rolled the line at the end of the fight.

She went completely out of the water 75' from shore and was a bugger to land without a net on icy killer rocks.

That's a beast of a freshwater fish.
