Just like to throw in the idea of an electric: if you sit in a shack they're perfect because you don't have to worry about gas or fumes, so you can drill inside your shack. They're also much easier to start in cold weather and cut holes quickly. I've got an eskimo that I like but if I were to get another I'd try an ion or ice gator.

however, if you run and gun and cut 50 holes a day then you'll definitely want to stick with a good gas auger.

Your setup should be good to get ya fishing but like a lot of previous statements you will end up getting a gas or electric powered augers, just soooo much easier on a guys back especially when scouting for fish but to get you fishing you got all you need really:)

Z71 forsure its a whole different kind of auger. It's a beast but rips 71cc!

i currently have a jiffy 30 and love it, its only like a 3hp?? i think and not as loud . i went with this for weight and the jiffys reliable history. my buddy has a stealth model and thing compared to mine is alot heavier and loud.
