was aeat derby the winner in pike was 32.5 lbs second was 29 lbs and 3rd was 27 lbs also tag fish was caught for trip for 2 to cuba for deep sea fishing or 5000 cash

Those are awesome sounding fish..The winner At Gull would have been bait at Newell...Sounds like this is the one to attend...

Maybe mount my first WH......... and I bet it will be a 2x2 too.:p

It was 30$ to enter. Not sure how many folks entered, but was definitly worth the entry fee, lots of door prizes and seemed well organized.

Only problem I had was it was supposed to be a catch and release derby, which it really wasn't.

I heard rumor that there were around 800 entries but there were a ton more fisherman than that. I had only one bite but the 3rd prize fish was caught 50 yards from me.

Just to let people know about what the deal was. The tagged fish was for a trip to Cuba for $7000. or $5000 cash. The biggest fish gets $2000 2nd gets $1000 3rd gets $500.biggest youth pike got $100. largest White fish got $400 and youth whitefish was $100. There were 900 tickets sold. Great time had by most. Good for the family. the top 3 fish were 32.5LBS, 29.3LBS and 27LBS. The youth pike was 18.8LBS.

Adults is $30, kids is $10. Usually between 500 - 1000 people depending on the weather. Usually lots of safe ice, but not always. Tons of GOOD draw prizes. New rules a little schetchy, but lots of fish most of the time.
