Hey Everyone,

Just thought I would share some pics...
This is a really nice place..I caught my first trout on the Fly last night here.
The water was like glass except for the random splashes here and there from surfacing trout when we first arrived before sunset. I fished for a bit and after an hour figured out which fly pattern to use and I caught the first and only trout of the night on a back swimmer. Only fished for around 2hrs.

Like I said.....this is a very nice place....however I was disgusted by the amount of Garbage that was all over the place in the parking lot. I know the people who maintain and run the site are not to blame... have been here a few times and this was the first time it was like this.... just a reminder to everyone please pick up your garbage before you leave.....even if its not yours a little bit goes a long way.:)

anyways here are a few pics....

Then again I'd rather hit up some stream fishing on the fly rod..... don't think I will be getting out again soon...

Wouldn't mind going for some Rocky mountain Whites on the McCleod.
here are a few pics from earlier this season....

Thanks Rollie, Only the trout are from J.N Memorial Trout pond the whites are from the McCleod river just in case there was any confusion in the posts.
As for where this place is pm sent.

Personally I think the rocky mounatian whites taste better than lake whites.
Everyone has there own opinion really, but by far I prefer the taste the Rockies have a not fishy not muddy more like fresh halibut but not to oily taste to them. where as lake whites depending on whick lake have more a mud taste and stronger fishy taste......hope that helps

if not they i guess we will have to compare the two sometime....:)
that would be an interesting weekend.....Pigeon for lake whites..... Edson area for the rockies...lol

Hey Anvil!

That trout pond is minutes from my back yard. Glad you had some success there! Too bad about the garbage :mad2: I've been there a few times and it has been very clean.

Nice rockies too!

Thanks for sharing.
