OK guys got a couple new rods and want to target white fish this year. Do you guys put all 4 or 6 pound test on your spin reel or do you put 8-10lb test on and use a couple feet of 4-6lb tippet ?

I would like to use the rods for walleye and rainbows as well.

Also what line is best for ice fishing with no memory ?

4 - 6 lb for bows, perch and whites. 8 lb - 10 for eyes, 15 - 20 for pike. These are my preferances. For the pike and eyes use braded line. Sey the drag light when using 4 - 6 lb.

I would rig up 8lb braid and tie in either a 4 lb fluro leader or 8lb depending what your targeting. I like power pro or suffix braid in "ice"
