is that really a book ram my guess was 163-165 although pictures don't reveal the true size, that is one nice lookin ram however, just sounds like another sheep story as there hasn't been a book ram (180+)taken in the south of 404 since 1984 and that was taken by a subsistence hunter but I guess that would depend on how far south your talkin ie 408 406. If you did shoot a book ram south of 404 wow.
For Mintaka and Ram Crazy, just a little tid bit of information, I was talking to one of the ring leaders of the Castle Crown Wilderness Society and found that it there position to put everything on draw in the Forestry so they don't have to put up with all the hunters during the fall when they go hiking (this is a big issue for them). In particular interest was they for sure want sheep on draw, this would ensure a 20 year wait for obtaining sheep tag. It certainly makes no sense to me to put sheep on draw when for example the 2006 sheep harvest had 75percent of the total harvest of rams in wmu400 was by subsistence hunters and poachers combined when the sheep are on winter range, this just boggles my mind!! Sheep just don't do well when slaughtered on winter range, easy access to winter range is the prime issue not shooting 0 to 3 full curl rams per year by licensed hunters. I found two ram kills and one ewe in 2006-2007 winter and they took the meat from one of the sheep only all within a half hour hike of the road, anyway sorry for hijacking the thread.

That ram scores 180 3/8, and yes it is south of 404. My good buddy mintaka has himself a fantastic ram way to go buddy.

Awesome! A book ram. He's sure a fooler. I'd be super interested in the measurements to see where he hides the inches. Thanks.
