Hello

Fished Travers on the weekend near the spillway. Skunked :( saw a few pike and whitefish in the camera though. One pike bit the bait then spit it out haha. It was a lovely day anyways and my first day out this season. Ice is pretty good at least 14" and people were driving on it. Cheers!

Thanks Whitefish! I've never ice fished travers but I want to try it before I go back to work in January.

Think I'll try near the Provincial Park...

There was a beach on the south side with a steep dropoff where we used to SLAY walleye in the summer 6 or 8 years ago, but I don't really wanna drive on and get there...

Along with Blue Green Algae there was a report from Calgary Health
About E Colie and Fecal Coliform bacterias from the flood waters ....
I don't believe freezing kills these ......I,m giving Travers a little
Couple of year rest......

Travers isn't dead. It's quiet, but not dead haha. Always seems that this time of year it's hard fishing. Come middle of January it picks up. Always has.

I've noticed on the northeast end of the lake there's anywheres from 14-19" of ice. And that can be in a 20' span.
