I got to spend some time with my little niece and nephew recently, and we braved the snow and wind to try to catch some pike.

The lake was extremely windy so we only stayed for about 3/4 of an hour, we had a lot of hits and a few stolen minnows, but out of 6 kids, Gabby was the only one to pull up a pike! She was SO thrilled.

I love it when the kids love it :)

:sHa_shakeshout: love those story's, I had a similar experience on lake Wab last winter with a freinds grand sons. All summer they have been waiting to go back. As we know if the hook is set good? theres no getting away your hooked for life! Nice work!!

That's awesome. Kids bring a whole new level of fun to fishing. Still remember the drive up to Heart lake with my grandpa smoking like a chimney the whole way.
