Spent the morning at Calhoun bay. Fishing was slow but it is probably just me. The ice is about 7"-8" of black ice with a 3" layer of slush and topped with about 1" of white ice. At places I broke through while walking.

Oak bay was better. There seems to be less black ice on the bottom but the top ice was around 2".

Be careful.

I heard Buck was not a fun place to be right now....heard a few trucks had some issues....snow machine or quad....but likely snow machine is needed.
