wondering how the ice is

I was out just before Christmas. There was about 10 inches of ice with lots of flood water (6") in areas. Good fun fishing for Pike. Caught 11 in 5 hours between 2 of us. No keepers largest one was 56cm. We went about 400m to the west side of the boat launch about 100 m south of the shore in 15-20 FOW and moved in and back out as the day went on. Fun to catch. Watch out for the springs just west of where we went you could see the open water holes.
