lesser slave lake help

gonna head up there next Saturday, ive never been there before and would really appreciate some help on where to go, and whats working,

due to other commitments in life this is probably the only time im gonna get out ice fishing this year so im hoping to make the best of it.

They know the lake, hope you have a snowmobile. Pretty sure you can rent ice fishing shacks on Slave to.

Most shacks seem to be straight out from Canyon Creek and just North of Dog Island. There is a couple of drop off ridges there and those that ice fish say that's where to go.

Like people have been saying lots of flood water in the east basin. We took a ranger with tracks out and it was tough slugging with spots that stretch over 400 yards with 6-8" of flood water. Was worth the trip both times we made it out and caught some nice walleye and some ling.

With Slave walking is a long distance deal. Need to fish the drop offs but most are at least two miles out if not more.

There is a road plowed to the drop off. Trucks out there everyday now.
30' to 40' of water will get you into the Walleye and the Burbot and Pike. :sHa_shakeshout:
