I have a dodge 1500 ram, and had a blowout on my way to work this morning. I am looking at Michelin m/s 2, in a 255, 65 R20....any members have experience on that tire, it is 325 per tire. Or is there a better deal out there, thanks for reading.

I brought basically the same thing only in 17 in. 7years ago and they now have only 65'ooo Kshatriyas on them. They cost $200 back then and they are bald. So I will not be buying michelins again. Piker

I just bought a set last fall for the price you list. Can't comment on longevity, but love them so far. They are the quietest, best steering tire I've ever had on one of my trucks! The traction is excellent on ice and snow, but may not be agressive enough if you want off road capability.

I'm you basic fudd behind the wheel, I went with Motomaster from Canadian Tire. Tough to beat IMHO. Or Costco. FS

Either that or Brigdestone. Have had good luck with either. From my experience stay away from Good Year. Most useless least lasting tires on earth.

Past fall i got 4 for 3 deal at fountain tire. Got good year wranglers silent armor for my 20" rims for 1000 bones. Really good overall tires thus far. Got the wrangler dura trac on my work truck and they are even better.

True ^, but you're forgetting something ... GoodYear has some of the best commercials out there! :happy0034:

I've had a set on Michelin M/S 2 and a set of M/S 1's too. I loved them both. Lasted well, gripped on wet roads, mud, snow and ice. They were quiet too. Would buy another set for sure!

Hankook dynapro were really good for me on gravel and I liked the traction. Had about 100 000 km on the set which is good for the amount of gravel they were on.

My 2 cents

I've had good luck with my Goodyear Silent Armours. Good on the highway, aggressive enough for the light 4x4ing that I do and hold up well on gravel. They have a new tire out now as well that are supposed to be tougher than the SA's but I haven't read the reviews yet.

Put these on my Tundra, so far so good after about 20,000 km. Can't speak to longevity yet.

X2 on what he said. Except, unlike piker, most everyone else finds them to be very long lasting. Have my second set on my 4runner. And I'm a guy who likes to switch it up

I prefer the AT2's, MS2's last a long time. As for price I can't remember what I paid for my last set if I remember I'll ask the tire shop tomorrow.

Had the M/S1 on my Honda Ridgeline, lasted about 150,000 KM. Bought a new set of the M/S2 in the US at Discount Tire, for about $800 installed. If you can make the trip down south, get way better prices on the same tires. I saved about $250 for the set. :sHa_shakeshout:

A few friends are running the Ailent Armors, and they do quite well in the ice and snow, and they seem to be wearing well. I was waiting for the replacement model to arrive to put them on my truck, but I had a sidewall damaged, and need a replacement set of tires immediately. I ended up with the Firestone Destination AT , and they are doing very well in the snow and ice so far.

I have the Goodyear Assurance Triple treads on both of our cars, and I just replaced a set with 100,000km on them. They have been excellent in the rain, and very good on ice and snow.
