Advice on moose lake walleye

Headed out to Moose lake later this week but have never fished it before. I've read a few posts that mention dead mans point... Can anybody tell me where that might be? Any other info for a good walleye spot? How's the ice? Thanks for any help... I need it

Never fished it in the winter but I would try the sand flats

Pelican Point use to be good for walleye in the old days.

Deadmans point or pelican point. There's other spots but those are the two main ones people go to.

I was out with a buddy last year and we fished the at the bay right off Hwy 28 going into Bonnyville.

We were fishing in about 10-12 FOW. The bite did not start for us till the last hour before Sunset. I lost a pig right at the hole and made the mistake to dive down to grab it. Let's just say minus 25 and soaking wet is not a good combo.

I was using green jig head with prop tipped with a minnow right off the bottom.

In summer I've had good luck around the drop offs at the sand bar south west of the launch at the provincial campground.

If you make it out let us know how the ice/driving conditions are (truck/quad/sled).

Just got off lake bite was slow but managed to get 4 walleye through the hole only one over 50cm. I've been using green glow jig tipped with half minnow fishing in 18 fow. Lake has about 18" ice with couple inches flood water. Snow has dropped considerable I've been walking on where I go. Truck on at vezea fishing in corner. Flats have been good on south west corner. Also narrows have been busy.
