We were on the NE arm of Travers yesterday. The ice was 19 inches to 24 inches deep. Had no problems with a F350 Ford. Saw one Whitefish and two Pike. Had the Pike on up to the hole but it got off. Both Pike were decent size and no they were not the same fish. Different sizes. Water is very clear but the water level is down a lot so don't judge your hot spots by last summer's locations. The Chinook wind was so strong we had to anchor our tent to the running boards of the truck.

As far as water levels during the winters go, the level this year is up compared to last winter and the winter before. But ya, the water level is always lower in the winter compared to the summer - there is a considerable difference.

And it's been slow in that NE arm when we've been there. Not much going on so far.
