How is the ice at Chain lakes today?

Anyone make it there today? Thinking of heading down for a midnight fish tonight.. just want to be careful about the ice..

I'm on twin valley right now ice is 18/20
Beautiful night for a midnight fish.
I'd suspect that chain should be safe but be careful either way

Was there yesterday afternoon and this morning and there was about 18" of ice where we were.

Was there today, 18", probably 100 vehicles and one plane. Beautiful day, lots of sun and no wind

Forgot to mention, while there on Sunday, my son had to make the walk to the public facilities, I thought no problem, til I heard the footsteps coming around the tent. My first thought, as my stomach dropped, I'm going to get ticketed for too many lines in the water, as I left my sons lines in not even thinking. But the officer was a very friendly fellow. He asked if I was fishing alone, said no, told him where my son was and it was a non issue. Checked my license, a little chat and he was on his way. I got lucky, if it was another guy or someone in a bad mood, could have been a diff outcome. Not all F&W cops are db's and it was quite nice dealing with him.
